    Privacy Policy

    Article 1 (Purpose of Using Personal Information)
    The Preparatory Office uses personal information for the following purposes only, and when there is a change to any of these purposes, it will conduct necessary action such as seeking the user’s consent, as per Article 18 of the PIPA.
    1. To check and manage registration information
    2. To perform identification and authentication of an individual with regards to delivery of services otherwise
    3. To maintain and manage the registration qualifications
    4. To conduct identification in accordance with the implementation of limited real-name system
    5. To prevent fraudulent use of services

    Article 2 (Retention Period and Processing of Personal Information)
    ①The Preparatory Office uses and retains personal information for the period specified by law or for a period previously agreed upon by the data subject at the time of their personal information collection.
    ②Personal information is used and retained as follows:
    ▶ Article 1 Paragraph 1~5: until the end of the event and the completion of the related management work

    Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party)
    ①The Preparatory Office uses the data subject’s personal information only within the bounds specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Using Personal Information) and provides such personal information to a third party only in conditions under Article 17 and 18 of the PIPA such as obtaining the consent of the data subject and under special circumstances required by law.
    ②The Preparatory Office provides personal information to a third party as follows.

    Article 4 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Management)
    ①To ensure efficient management of personal information related tasks, the Preparatory Office shall hire outside entities as follows:
    ②Upon signing a consignment agreement, the Preparatory Office, pursuant to Article 26 of the PIPA, specifies responsibility related matters including but not limited to the ban on usage of personal information for a purpose other than carrying out the consigned duty, protection measures on a technical and managerial level, ban on sub-delegating the consigned services, management and monitoring of the outside entity and compensation for losses; and supervises whether the outside entity processes personal information in a secure manner.
    ③If there is a modification to the scope of delegated services or to the hired entities, the Preparatory Office will disclose such changes immediately through this Privacy Policy

    Article 5 (Rights and Obligations of the Data subject and legal representative and Method of Exercising Such Rights)
    ①As part of their right to privacy protection, the data subject can make a request to view, amend, delete and suspend the use of personal information to the Preparatory Office at any time.
    ②The data subject can exercise his/her rights set forth in Paragraph 1 through a letter, phone call, email, FAX, etc., according to Article 41 Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Rules of the PIPA, in which case the Preparatory Office will take necessary measures immediately.
    ③The data subject can exercise his/her rights stipulated under Paragraph 1 through an agent such as their legal representative or attorney-in-fact, in which case the data subject is required to submit a power of attorney according to Form 11 set forth in the attachment of the Notice of Processing of Personal Information Processing Method (No. 2020-7).
    ④The right to request for viewing and suspending the use of personal information may be restricted pursuant to Article 35 Paragraph 4 and Article 37 Paragraph 2 of the PIPA
    ⑤The request for amending and deleting personal information cannot be requested if the personal information is subject to collection under other Acts.
    ⑥The Preparatory Office shall confirm whether the person who made the request for viewing, amending, deleting and suspending the use of personal information, according to the right of the data subject, is himself/herself or a legitimate deputy.

    Article 6 (Personal Information Used)
    The Preparatory Office uses the following personal information: Website Registration and Management of Members

    • The following personal information can automatically be created and collected, during the process of using the internet with the purpose to recommend contents and participating entity: IP address, cookie, MAC address, service use record, visit record

    Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)
    ①The Preparatory Office shall destroy relevant personal information immediately if such information is no longer needed, including when the retention period has expired or the purpose of the information use has been achieved.
    ②Even when the term of retention agreed upon by the data subject has expired or the purpose of information use has been achieved, the Preparatory Office shall transfer relevant personal information to a separate database or store such information in another space if other laws require such information to be retained.
    ③The procedure for and the methods of destroying personal information are as follows:
    ▶ Procedure
    The Preparatory Office identifies personal information with grounds to be destroyed and then destroys the concerned information after obtaining approval from the privacy officer of the Preparatory Office in charge of managing personal information.
    ▶ Methods
    The Preparatory Office destroys personal information recorded and stored in the form of electronic data by using such methods as low-level format to render the destroyed data irrecoverable; and destroys personal information recorded and stored in paper document by burning or shredding the files.

    Article 8 (Personal Information Security)
    The Preparatory Office takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:
    ▶ Managerial measures: develop and implement internal management plans and educate employees on a regular basis
    ▶ Technical measures: manage access to the personal information system, etc., install the access control system, encrypt unique identifiers, etc., and install security programs,
    ▶ Physical measures: control access to IT and storage rooms

    Article 9 (Automatic Personal Information Collection and Refusal of Such Automatic Collection)
    ①The Preparatory Office uses “cookies” that store and retrieve user data to provide the user with personalized services.
    ②Cookies refer to small bits of data that HTTP server, which is used to operate the website, sends to the user’s computer browser and they may be stored on the hard disk of the user’s computer.

    Article 10 (Privacy Manager)
    ①The Preparatory Office has appointed the following privacy manager in charge of managing personal information, to address data subject’s complaints on the use of their personal information, and to handle remedies for losses.
    ②The data subject may contact the privacy manager and the department responsible for privacy protection for all inquiries, complaints, and remedies concerning privacy protection issues that may arise during the course of using the Preparatory Office’s services (or business). The Preparatory Office will immediately answer questions by the data subject and take necessary actions.

    Article 11 (Request for Viewing Personal Information)
    The data subject can make a request to the following department to gain access to their personal information retained in accordance with Article 35 of the PIPA. The Preparatory Office will strive to ensure that the data subject can promptly access their retained personal information.
